General Hand - Packing

Department: Production

Main work area:  Finishing Team

The General Hand’s main work responsibilities will be packing stoves.  

There may also be a requirement for the successful applicant to work in different areas of the Finishing Team, including stove assembly, door assembly and spares.

Job Role:     

  • Pack stoves.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed to schedule.
  • Ensure good housekeeping of work areas.
  • Ensure all Company Quality and Health and Safety Procedures are followed.
  • Any other reasonable task as directed by your Line Manager.

Salary:

Salary: £18,138 - £20,338 per annum (equivalent to £8.72 - £9.77 per hour), depending on experience.

Hours of work:

40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 7.30am until 4.30pm (8.5 hours per day) and Friday, 7.30am until 1.30pm (6 hours).

Holidays:

21 days annual leave, plus 8 Bank Holidays, increasing by 1 day at 2 years' service, another day at 4 years' service, to a maximum of 24 days at 6 years' service.
